I am in this profession from past 29 years. I am a general physician for diabetes, chest infection and cervical spondylosis. hypertension , any abdominal problem and any urological problem.
I recommend the required medication to maintain blood pressure. In most of the cases, I try and advice changes to lifestyle and also recommend changes to dietary habits. Only when these two options fail do I prescribe medications. However, I would like to monitor the medications on a regular basis and reduce or increase dosage to ensure that the hypertension levels come down significantly.?
